the energy pathways in your body |
Thai bodywork is an ancient form of healing that originated from Reusi Dat Ton. Reusi’s are the masters in Thailand, the healers and the knowers. Reusi Dat Ton was a combination of Thai yoga and self massage. Over the years it is believed that because everyone couldn’t not learn the yoga moves for themselves, the Reusis would manipulate their body’s for them and work the Sen (energy pathways in the body). This became what we know now as Thai Massage.

There are many different styles of Thai massage these days. Depending where you go in Thailand you will receive different sessions. My focus is not on following one certain way but providing you with the way you need. Some sessions are deeply relaxing, calming to the system. Some are more invigorating to build up fire, motivation. Always the focus is on your energetic and physical body and what you need.

movement and release for your pain |
Treatment work is also a large portion of Thai bodywork. I always incorporate a full body component but will focus on bringing movement and release to your injuries and pains. The treatment work in Thai is so similar to the structural integration work that I’ve learned that I often combine them in a session. Sometimes I will also use hot herbal compresses and/or a scraping technique to aid in the healing process.
